Par contre, elle fonctionne sur tous les types de m\u00e9taux et m\u00eame sur les composites.<\/p>\n<p>Les surfaces qui font l\u2019objet d\u2019une inspection doivent \u00eatre propres. Souvent, on utilise un solvant pour nettoyer la surface de toute pr\u00e9sence de graisse, d\u2019huile, de corrosion ou de salet\u00e9. Un liquide p\u00e9n\u00e9trant \u00e0 basse viscosit\u00e9 est alors appliqu\u00e9 sur le mat\u00e9riau et on le laisse p\u00e9n\u00e9trer pour un temps sp\u00e9cifique. Par un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne de capillarit\u00e9, le liquide p\u00e9n\u00e8tre \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur du mat\u00e9riau par les moindres fissures ou asp\u00e9rit\u00e9s. L\u2019exc\u00e9dent de produit est ensuite nettoy\u00e9. <\/p>\n<p>Une fine couche d\u2019une poudre de r\u00e9v\u00e9lateur (similaire \u00e0 du talc) est alors vaporis\u00e9e \u00e0 la surface. Si un liquide p\u00e9n\u00e9trant fluorescent est appliqu\u00e9, alors on utilise une lumi\u00e8re ultraviolette en guise de r\u00e9v\u00e9lateur. Tous les d\u00e9fauts et les fissures apparaissent alors \u00e0 la surface de la pi\u00e8ce test\u00e9e. Sous l\u2019effet de la lumi\u00e8re ultraviolette, le liquide p\u00e9n\u00e9trant fluorescent va briller dans l\u2019obscurit\u00e9. Cette m\u00e9thode est couramment utilis\u00e9e pour l\u2019inspection des mats et gr\u00e9ements dormants. Les r\u00e9gions stress\u00e9es par un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne de fatigue des mat\u00e9riaux sont alors plus facilement identifiables.[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=&#8221;1_3,2_3&#8243;
